I would not recommend Seidio to anyone. I went through three of the clear hard cases. There is a small clasp that will break. It happened to me on all three I bought. If you do purchase the case buy it straight from the manufacture. It will be more money but easier to have them replace it.

I have a couple of their cases and I never had an issue with it. I also have the clear one that you stated, for months now and no issues.
I have the Seidio Holster and Rubberized Black Case and can say they are very nice. The sleep function is nice, the only concern I have so far is pulling the case apart to the battery out, it seem like it would break but it hasn't yet. Still a good case.
I had the holster for the Pearl from Seidio, and now have the hard case and holster combo (not the clear case version) from Seidio and love it. Obviously, your mileage may vary. These things aren't made of steel, and they will break under the right conditions. To be fair, though, I've seen some RIM cases that looked like they had been through battle (as in, not doing much to protect the phone any more), and I had a leather case for my iPhone that lost the belt clip within two months of owning it. Nothing is perfect, but I can recommend (and have done so) the Seidio products.

I would rather break my plastic case instead of my BB especially with AT&T still screwing customers by not allowing insurance on higher end phones. It is simple, register your IMIE to get covered and if you don't register your replacement you are SOL.
My issues with Seidio were in shipping and communications only. The rubberized case and clip holster is super. I had my sweater caught in the holster under the phone and yanked the sweater out without thinking.. yep! The phone went airborn and made a belly flop onto a ceramic tile floor!
after 15 seconds of "oh Drat!" I picked up the phone still in its rubberized case and it worked perfectly and still does!

My feelings about Siedio's products is just the opposite. No BB of mine is without their products. Customer service is awesome. I put my BB through some pretty tough environments and the cases hold up exceptionally well. I would, and do, recommend Siedio to all other BB users.
odd, i have ATT, and on my account i have my IMEI registered on their insurance.
Not to get off topic but did you have a previous phone listed with insurance when you upgraded? If so that most likely why you have insurance listed. However when you go to make that claim they will deny it and reimburse your previous months of charges (hopefully). But AT&T should get their heads out of where ever they are and allow insurance.
