Help!

Can anyone explain this....Every key is working except the five top row keys?

Every function works except i cannot type any letters that have q,w,e,r,t.

Is this somekind of weird lock function or is it something more serious?

Sounds like you need a new device. The keys are tied to each other, 5 keys are connected via the same circuit. So when you have 5 keys in a row not working like that, the keyboard is bad and the device needs to be replaced. On 957 devices, I have changed keyboards but on the newer models, I haven't really had to do it so no sure how easy it it. You may have to get a new device and if it is less than a year old, should be under warranty.
