Elation!!!!!!........ I found a fix.
I have a 7290 that was in a loop for weeks. When all else fails...follow the directions. There is an instruction about what to do when JL CMDR doesn't work. I tried it and was able to stop the loop and program the 7290. Well after this I thought I would try this on my 7280 with the 507 problem. It worked.. So, thanks to instructions, the program JL CMDR, and this forum I now have two almost dead Berries back to life.

Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and try it again.

Use the link below. Take the instructions as if you've already wiped the device with JL_Cmder. You'll need to install the OS to your PC in order to load the OS back to the device.

Are you getting any errors during the install of the OS? Doesn't sound like the software is getting from the PC to the handheld.

Doug

Remember, please try searching first!

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?
Try using BBscreen .....Use JL_Cmder!
or BBScreenShooter!

You have to reload the OS back onto your 8310.

Follow these instructions -> http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...languages.html to the letter and the OS will be reloaded.
