Default Alternatives to the 8320 OEM sleeve

Please Login to Remove!

I puchased a curve a few weeks ago and so far I love it. I was surprised to see a leather sleeve instead of the standard launcher in the box. I thought this was great since I carried my 8700 in my pocket with the clip removed from the standard plastic holster. At first it was pretty hard to remove the curve from the OEM sleeve. I tried to stretch it with the curve inserted in a plastic bag and then place in the sleeve overnight. This seemed to work a little bit better but I still can not remove the curve from the OEM sleeve when it's in my pocket one handed. Since it doesn't have a reinforced mouth I need to use 2 hands or take the sleeve out of my pocket and place the curve in it. I've never been a fan of putting devices in my pockets naked. Infact I've cracked a few screens from older cellphones (had nothing else in my pocket at the time) from just getting in and out of cars and banging against things.

Since the 8700's OEM launcher scratched the heck out of my 8700 is there a better "sleeve" I can use other than the RIM one that comes with the curve?

Default 8320 OEM Sleve

I have applied a little neatsfoot oil to the inside & outside of the sleve as delivered with the 8320. That has made it just supple enough that it accommodates the 8320 plus a silicone/rubberized protector very nicely. I find it hard to imagine a better combination.
