Default Why the iPhone isn't so great

I wasn't sure if this went in the OFFICIAL iPhone thread but well this is on the top of the digg.com site and I sort of agree.

http://arstechnica.com/journals/appl...2007/1/10/6559

Title was "9 Things Wrong with the iPhone, and why it WON'T be Apple's killer app"

Some things aren't as big as others but well here it is.

Also it is said that Cingular will NOT sell the iPhone without a 2 year contract.

I just hope its a sturdy device because it looks like it'll be a glutton for punishment. I didn't see a stylus in its presentation, so everything is touch screen by hand......smudges all over the screen.

The 5-hour talk time combined with a non-removable battery is a big shortcoming for the iPhone. Most smartphones already have issues with battery life, and being able to swap out batteries would seem to be a no brainer. Apple may be able to get away with a non-removable battery for the iPod, but for a mobile phone, that just doesn't make any sense.

Totally agree with that, I think many people will just drain the battery from listening to music and playing their videos.
