Thought it might be fun to see how others have their desktop configured....

I know some have system monitors and net monitors galore on the desktop but I like mine nice and clean looking...

Here is mine (Sporting Fedora 8)

Kris

I usually have a bunch of junk open, and always a Terminal in the lower right (switched to a clean desktop for the shot)

Very nice... I used E16 on Ubuntu several months ago and really loved it!!! Can't get it to work for nothing on Fedora 8 though....

I liked E16 too, especially when combined with rox to make a desktop shell environment. Comparing E16 and E17 is kind of hard to put in perspective, but I will say this: After compiling E17 and configuring the options, E17 really rocks. There are things you can do with E17 that couldn't be duplicated in E16. All I can say is, just give it a try.

I'll show off my desktop too. I'm new here so I got to post something, right? Fedora 8 on a Toshiba A205-S4577 Satellite.

1280x800. Don't know why it's so small. Oh well.

What media player and/or skin is that you've got there in the top screenshot?

Looks like you're having a ball with e17. I changed the wallpaper recently on mine. Configured it so that it's also on the login screen (entrance), as well as the lock screen. Not too hard to figure out except for the entrance screen.
