Thanks for the tip, downloaded the program, got the icon, gone to settings and it knows the Blackberry is there, which then makes the blackberry come to life and it ask for a numeric password, I then enter a 4 digit number and then it says it cant find the eec pc. Then the pc comes to life asking for a number, which I then punch in the number, I cant seem to get them to lock together. The other question is what is " enter your APN" I cant find anything about this. I am a newbee to Linux, but really like the EEC PC. If it can work with the phone, it will be great when I go camping, can still pick up emails etc.

Thanks for any help given

Andrew

Hmmmm...I haven't gotten to it yet, but will try to give it a shot tonight. Without having seen it, I'm not sure about the passcode part (did you try 0000 and 1234?), but I'm guessing that when it's asking about the APN, it's just the APN for your carrier (i.e. wap.voicestream.com for T-Mobile).

I'll try it later and report back! I'm a linux newbie too! Argh!

Hi, there odd thing was that when i first tried it, it worked I could see "andrew" on the blackberry so it had found the EEC PC computer, but then I fiddled with the blackberry menu and lost the setup so I had to try again. Since then I have not been able to get them to talk. I have even re installed the software on the ECC PC and that did not work. I am with O2 and then have the Blackberry service to surf the net which is unlimited. So I guess I enter Blackberry.com ? Hope you have more luck then I at the moment.
