Converting a barrybackup dump to a readable format Hey Guys, I'm new to my Blackberry as well as the barry utilities. I took a backup of my phone using the GUI barrybackup program. It produced a tar.gz file. I extracted this and found the files were all binary, not text. My question is, is there anyway I can convert these binary files into a human readable format? Specifically, I'm trying to convert my SMS messages to text so I can add them to a Wiki page. I've found the "MagicBerry" IPD reader for Windows, but since barrybackup doesn't export the databases in IPD format, I don't think I can use that. Is there a way to convert a barrybackup backup to the IPD format? Thanks! |
Why don't you just use Desktop Manager and backup your device with that, that way you will have it in a IPD format? |
