has anyone been able to do this? since i swapped my laptop over to ubuntu i haven't been able to tether the phone to it. i've been looking for a way to do it but haven't figured it out yet ... if i can't i suppose i'll just drop the tether option from my contract.

You can try XmBlackBerry but I *doubt* it will work....

Clicky from Sourceforge ------> SourceForge.net: XmBlackBerry

Also some good info here as well -----> 8100 Bluetooth Modem
