Unhappy Can't connect to BlackBerry on Xandros - 06-16-2007, 09:05 AM

Hi all,

I have bbcharge installed, and it's working fine. No longer, however, is mass storage mode working on my linux (Xandros) box. It works on my windows machines, however. Actually, sometimes on windows it just shows up as a disk and when I click it is says "Please insert a disk into drive X:" if I then access the SD Card by opening up "Media" and reconnect it, it works.

Any ideas on where to start? What's going wrong? How to find out where it is failing? Is it the BlackBerry or the PC?

Thanks in advance for any ideas on the matter.

You know, this actually sounds like the microSD card might be loose or not slotted into the cage correctly; have you done a visual inspection on it? The fact that Windows is reporting it sometimes there, sometimes not is a clue -- it smells like it's pointing to something hardware related that's wrong (SD card failing, USB port, etc.)

Have you tried a different USB cable as well? Any chance that cable could have gotten bent and the internal wires might be iffy?
