Has anyone heard anything yet about whether Ubuntu Mobile will work on RIM hardware yet?

From what I read through all of the list there is that their not really trying to work on ARM chip based phones right now. It's more working on embedded into thin clients and things of that nature. Sucks for us I guess...

...RIM hasn't used ARM as a processing chipset in GSM devices in a couple years.
