Default Another frustrated Mac user... - 03-16-2008, 08:09 PM

So I'm having a little trouble here syncing my Pearl with my Mac. When I plug in my Blackberry it doesn't appear anywhere on my computer, not in finder, not on the desktop, not in disc utility. I've done the regular stuff, take the battery out, restart the device and the computer. I've tried both Missing Sync and PocketMac with no improvement. Other further suggestions before I order a swap?

Um, you won't see it unless you have a media card installed. However, Missing Sync should see it. Assuming you have a functional USB port and cable.

You cannot have enough backups but you can have too few.
Pearl 8120, OS v4.3.0.72; PB G4 867, OS 10.5.2, USB -- useless BT thx to RIM .

Your BB also has to be set to mass storage mode for the media card to show up as a removable device.

-->BB 7130e-->Palm 700P-->BB 8830-->iphone-->BB 8310

I have done all of those steps and my MacBook Pro still won't recognize my BB Pearl as a device on desktop, Finder, etc. I think it is a glitch, that hopefully will be fixed in the future. I am able to use Missing Sync for iCal and AddressBook but for photos and music I use Bluetooth to transfer files.
