Default 8130 shuts down when connecting to new Macbook - 04-24-2008, 05:06 PM

I've searched everywhere and haven't found anything similar to my problem.

I'm running a new Intel Macbook with PocketMac installed. My 8130 connects and syncs fine to my Windows desktop, but turns off about 3-5 seconds after I connect it to my MacBook via USB. The screen goes blank, the light turns red, and it restarts. If I leave it plugged in while it reboots, it continually cycles through this continuously.

I've taken out the battery, restarted both the BB and the MB, and reinstalled PocketMac. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

App Version: 4.3.0.81 (149)

Actually I had the same issue.

Not sure why but I reinstalled Pocket Mac v4.0.20b, but more importantly
I installed PocketMac Driver update -- DriverUpdate.dmg
Driver update to add support for high speed compatible BlackBerry smartphones.

I still haven't had any luck with that. In addition, I know its not a flaw in my BB, as my trackball fell out this weekend (customer service had never seen anything like it) and I had to get a new phone altogether. I guess it could still be Alltel's software or something though.

I've tried uninstalling pocketmac and reinstalling and using the driver update twice, to no avail.

I read on another board with someone who had the same issue fixed it by formating the card on the blackberry. something was corrupted on it. have you tried that?

hudss, you my friend, are a God. I reformatted using my desktop PC and everything seems normal now. It mounts as a drive (after displaying something about a corrupt media card the first time) and syncs like a champ.
