Default Blackberry 8800 & Mac OSX 10.5.2 - 04-27-2008, 11:55 PM

Just sharing what happened:

I got a new Blackberry 8800 after ditching my iPhone and I wanted to sync all of my calendar, contacts and mail over via PocketMac. After the iPhone's simplicity I connected the BlackBerry and Mac and pressed Sync......ERROR.....

I then tinkered with all the settings and still came up empty handed.

However...

If you don't mess with anything except which things you want to sync over. Connect your Blackberry THEN initiate PocketMac.
KEY POINT: Turn off your blackberry before syncing and ALL problems should go away.

I understand that Windows have a long of history of being able to work with Blackberrys but Macs have always had a software lag in terms of syncing. Hope this helps all of you whom choose to use the ultimate phone with the ultimate computer platform.

It's been well documented that PocketMac is far from reliable. Consider the Missing Sync for BlackBerry by Mark/Space. If your a Parallels or VMware user you can install the Desktop Manager with the virtual Windows environment and sync that way as well.

Assuming charging to full charge with the drivers installed in VMware works as well?
