Unfortunately not within OS X ... It works perfect through Boot Camp if you have windows XP or Vista. There are ways to get it to work via Parallels and VMWare Fusion, however those methods IMO are not reliable enough to do a software upgrade. As a fellow Macbook user, I suggest going the dual boot route.

WOW! That really sucks... So I have an MBP and I ran parallels on it, but it won't let me run DM on parallel because it won't let me upgrade the dmn windows SW.. WTF?!? Don't these people know other people use Macs too!?!

i have another new MBP, and i bought from MACSALES.COM a 320 gb hdd, for a little over 100, and i will be having it put it, and i will be using boot camp, parallels sucks, so there is no way that it will work correctly with DM, so i gave up and caved in...

I have been using VMWare and have had no issues with Desktop Manager. Software Updates, back up, etc. all work fine.

There is a rumor going around that RIM is testing a Mac version of Desktop in house. Lets keep our fingers crossed that it will be out soon. I am happy with Missing Sync, but I would like to see a Mac Desktop app just for updating and install apps that dont have an OTA link.

Fusion works great for DM. I have been using it for a few months with zero issues. I use XP and not Vista, although I doubt there would be any issues there either.

I have a few friends who have had great luck with PocketMac as well, however, it is not yet compatible with office:Mac 2008 (which I am running), only for 2004 and earlier.

Best of luck!
