Default Missing phone numbers aftering using Missing Sync - 05-12-2008, 06:48 AM

The Situation - installed and used Missing Sync to sync my Blackberry Pearl to my PowerBook G4. Information transferred to my Address Book on the Mac. Names from the Mac's Address Book transferred back to my BB, but NONE of the information inside the contact listing (no phone numbers, addresses, email, etc). Everything is gone off the Blackberry exact the actual name of the contact - so basically everything useful is gone - like phone numbers! Any suggestions? How do I get all my phone numbers back on my BB? Desperate!!!

I have the same issue, and no one can seem to answer the question for me either!

Does your Address Book labels for the phone numbers, addresses, email use the default labels or have you used custom ones? Was the data imported into Address Book originally?

Missing Sync for BlackBerry field mapping for Contact sync is here:

I checked that numerous times and I have only one of each. To add to my frustration you would think I would at least get some of my numbers then. I have absolutely no phone numbers just all the names on my downloads. The part I love best, you can't speak to a human being at pocket mac or missing sync and I cant tell you how many emails I have sent with absolutely no replies, and Blackberry hasnt been much help either as they refer me to pocket mac! I love this phone but for 300 bucks I refuse to put each address in my phone by hand considering I have over 2 hundred contacts to enter.
I am really getting ready to throw this thing out the window just because they refuse to realize people use macs in this world too!

Default Same problem - 06-18-2008, 12:58 AM

I tested the sync with just a few phone numbers and it worked. When I went to sync my whole address book, only names and companies came over. No phone numbers. I don't think I have any addresses either. Admittedly, my phone book is large: about 1,000 contacts. Will try a smaller batch.

No, a batch of 79 returned the same results. Name, company, category. Nothing else.

Well for anyone who may find themselves in this situation and in a panic to get things right before the start of business... choosing computer overwrites handheld in the Missing Sync dialogue got the missing phone numbers and addresses to show up. I'm afraid to sync between the two again, though...
