Default problems installing eoffice...with pocket Mac - 06-03-2008, 04:34 PM

Hi folks,

I am new here... but here are the facts...

I have Pocket MAC 1.0.9
I have a Blackberry Curve 8310
I have OSX 10.4.11
My blackberry is connected to the laptop via USB

I just purchased eoffice from handango.com. It downloaded to my desktop. The file name extention is an EXE file.

I went into pocket mac and then to Utilities and to Install Software, it brought up my files from my desktop. But the eoffice_installer(insert numbers here).EXE is grey, and I cannot select it.

I have no idea what exactly I need to do next... any help would be appreciated. Thank you

and .exe file is a Windows installer file. You cannot use this on a mac. Pretty much all Mac software comes in a .dmg format now.

Until the world emerges from the Windows monopoly of the past, you have a few options:
Upgrade to 10.5 and dual boot Windows and OSX with the included Boot Camp program and a copy of Windows you have to own. This way you can enjoy the Mac and boot into the dreaded Windows if the need arises.
Buy a cheap used or refurb PC off ebay and just use that for BB maintenance.
