Default Trouble shooting?!?!? - 06-19-2008, 09:11 PM

so never really bothering syncing my 8800 to my mac I've never really bothered to question what would happen if I had a major issue. Now ATT is recommending I wipe/reinstall my software/firmware for my phone since my screen and keys wont work and they are hoping it is a corrupt file. Is this even possible with a mac or do I immediately just go to the dark side for a night and use a buddies PC?
