| what version of parallels? what version of windows?
I might not be back on the forum for a while but I can relate this to you and hope it helps:
I tried this with parallels and vista business a few weeks ago, but i had an old version of parallels which had problems attaching to the usb. This is when I still had Paralles version 1. When I updated to the latest build of Parallels v1 I was able to connect the phone to the vista virtual machine.
I have since upgraded my parallels installation to v4 and updated my vista installation to work with it. So far everything works.
On my mac, which runs OS X 10.5.5, I have also have missing sync for blackberry installed and I sync with that. I use parallels/vista to upgrade the phone. If you are using something on the mac to sync, make sure that it's not running when you are attempting to connect the phone to your windows installation. I can only envision bad bad things happening if you had 2 sync programs trying to work with your BB at the same time.
Also, make sure that you have updated your windows and mac systems and that you allow your virtual machine to access the usb device.
good luck! |
