Default Can you use Storm as a modem?

I've seen the looooooooooooooong thread on the subject of using a Pearl as a modem, but can't find any similar info for the Storm.
Will Ross Barkman's scripts work, 'cos i can't get my new Storm to do anything faintly resembling working like a modem, in fact my G4 Powerbook doesn't seem to see it (it does appear on the desktop (x2) however when connected to the usb).
My previous phone was a motorola V6maxx which was a 3G phone, connected to the mac with a usb, and it worked fine as a fairly fast modem with one of ross's generic scripts.
Any ideas?
