I have a Mac and I am running Parallels. I am running Windows 2000 in a virtual environment. Parallels recognizes other usb devices but not my 8330 Blackberry curve. It does not detect the device. If you go under device manager it shows the usb port with a question mark. If you open it there is a code 28. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the software with no luck. i have tried desktop 4.3, 4.5, and 4,6 with no luck. I have tried updating the driver still no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Note: I am using version 4.0 of Paralllels.

Parallels won't work with Windows and the Blackberry. You need Boot Camp or VMware.

As stated ^above. The only way to connect the BB to DM is via bluetooth in the current Parallels release. Though when you connect this way you can only use a limited # of DM options (back-up/restore). You can NOT install software. I resorted to installing boot camp on a separate drive and DM works perfectly via USB. I have complained to Parallels (as others have) for weeks with no fix.

I have tried Parallels several times in the past and could never get it to work consistently with the Blackberry. VM Ware Fusion works great. They have a free trial, and and tool to import your current Parallels Virtual Machine.
