Default Connecting 8310 with 4.7 under Parallels on MacBook Pro - 03-04-2009, 03:42 PM

I was successful in downloading version 4.7 of the Desktop software and under Parallels on my MacBook Pro using a USB cable and was able to upgrade the software on my phone (previously 4.2) and the improvement is marked.

Unfortunately today when I connect my phone it is not recognised by the Blackberry Device Manager so I cannot connect. I am not sure of the correct settings under Parallels to fiddle with so am asking for help.

I have looked at the other threads but most seem to be regarding US carriers and connection problems that I do not think are relevant as I am a Vodafone cusotmer in the UK.

There are numerous threads here about the unreliability of running Desktop Manager under Parallels. I tried v. 3 and v.4 when it was released, but I keep going back to VM Ware Fusion, which works perfectly. Try it.

Parallels does not work. VMware or Boot Camp are the best options.
