as we all know there is no desktop software for the mac, so i am using desktop softer 4.7 on my XP through parallels, and it is not reading my USB connection. could it be a bug in 4.7? should i try a lower version? or is it simply because i am using parallels and it is not reading the USB?

btw, i have the Blackberry Handheld option under devices check so it should be working but it isnt. i am now on 4.5

Lots of problems with Parallels have been reported here. Try VMWare Fusion. There is also a tool to convert your Parallels virtual machine to VMWare.

I agree with the recommendation for VMware Fusion. It is reported to be a lot less problematic than Parallels.
