Curve 8900 data fine - iCal data shot to pieces - HELP!! Hi I have a Curve 8900 and use a Mac PPc with 10.5.8 and Missing Sync for BB. The data on my curve is accurate and up to date. My contacts and notes on the Mac are fine but my first and only sync shot my iCal data to pieces. It is now of no use and out of date. Is there any way I can: 1. Force a sync with BB overwrites iCal ( I don't think so? ) 2. At least backup the BB data without doing any sort of syncing? Any help / suggestions / advice would be warmly welcomed!!! Many thanks Tony:-(:x:-( |
Easy to fix. Step 1 - Uninstall Missing Sync form your Mac Step 2 - Wait for a few days until RIM officially releases DM for MAC Step 3 - Sync and enjoy |
Urjavec - Do you know if it will be possible to force a Blackberry overwrites iCal type sync? |
It should be. We will know in just a few days time. Since the iCal data is already messed up, Erjavec's advise is spot on... uninstall Missing Sync (which is more difficult than you might think - the Mark Space website has tips, I think) and wait for RIM's Mac desktop option to hit the streets. Once it does, the first thing I would do is a full backup of everything on the phone. From that point forward, you can experiment with different sync options until you get everything just as you want it. If something goes wrong, just restore that backup you made before you started tinkering and all is well again with the world! |

And first option DM for Mac gives you when you're installing it is to clean up previous sync softwares (Pocket Mac and Missing Sync) |
