Default Blackberry to Apple Question - 09-30-2009, 03:54 PM

Just joined. This is my first post. Hope I'm not breaking the rules. I have a mac book pro using 10.4.11. My blackberry is a 9530 with Verizon. Can I download the apple software off the included blackberry CD and then tether or do I have to upgrade to Snow Leopard? Thanks for any help.

You'll need to look into the Pocket Mac software to use in the interim, if you don't want to wait, Sam. It's either on the disk or on RIM's website.

Here you go Sam, BlackBerry - BlackBerry for Mac. RIM's Mac page. It has the info for Pocket Mac as well as info about the upcoming release of the Desktop Manager software.

Man, RIM's Mac Desktop Manager seems to work quite well. Now I don't have to boot to Windows to install any apps that I can't get OTA. Sync worked well too. I'm surprised, pleasantly so.

Moved to the Mac section.

DM for Mac is designed to run on Mac computers with Mac OS 10.5.5 and higher.
