Question ical syncing troubles - 10-03-2009, 01:09 AM

I am having trouble syncing ical with the DTM.... it recognizes the calendar, but when i sync, it doesn't seem to sync 2 ways. It seems to only go from the computer to the BB.... not from BB to computer.

was so excited for the release of this, but not so sure now

Please provide some detail...OS, devices, settings. Under the advanced drop-down do you have replace device data box checked? Do you get the window asking if you want to merge or replace device data?

sorry, I have a BB Tour, 9630, v4.7.1.40, mac os 10.5.7, my settings are 2way swap, all calendars but I only have the home calendar, and under advanced I have sync all events. I don't have replace all calendar events on this device, because I have more stuff on the BB than on the ical. I want to use the ical more, and if I could put events on the BB, then get to the office and transfer to my computer, that would be ideal.

Unfortunately I think a better way to go would be to use a syncing service like mobileme.

Where do I get the window asking if I want to merge or replace device date??? I remember seeing it once, but not anymore.

I've tried erasing/reinstalling the DTM program, but still don't have much luck. I synced some music, and it seems to have worked awesome, but this calendar issue is bugging me.

HELP!!!

so when you plug the device into the mac (usb) your DM starts-up (or you start it up). it should show your device connected. under the information list on the side, highlight Calendar. there is a box to select no sync or two way sync (select two way). select which calendars you want to sync, then click on the sync button (green one at the top right). the next window is merge or replace device data.

Funny because the Calender is the one thing working best for me with the new DM. Of course i'm using Entourage not iCal.
