Default Grrrrr Mac Desktop Manager hates me - 10-03-2009, 01:41 AM

I keep getting an error message to re sync. Why is this happening? It happens with the iCal and Address Book. Anyone having issues?

Try this....trash the following file: user>library>application support>blackberry

Restart your computer, run repair permissions (to be safe) and try again.

The default is for nothing to sync. You need to choose "Two-Way Sync" in the BlackBerry Desktop client for each thing you want to sync (Contacts, Calendar, etc.)

Default still not syncing contacts - 10-04-2009, 02:44 AM

I tried the link above but no matter what I do, desktop manager for MAC will not sync my address book. It always stalls then says "a sync error has occured". Anybody else getting that?

Mine syncs perfectly. I'm on an older PowerMac G4 running OSX 10.5.8 however. Snow Leopard may still have some growing pains. If you're running Snow Leopard make sure you update it 10.6.1 as this has helped some folks iron out wrinkles like this.

I was under the impression that the new DM required an Intel-based Mac. Am I wrong?

I had the same thing happen about 4 months ago. I ended up wiping the BB (a Pearl in this case) and starting over again...

I had to do a 'handheld wipe' and eliminate all of my current data .... then my sync worked fine .... you, like me, probably have an error in one of your data registers on your handheld from your previous sync system ....
