Default New BB software for Mac deleted my address book. help! - 10-05-2009, 02:45 PM

So i had been using pocket mac with my BB bold 9000 until this week when RIM released the new software for macs.

i deleted my address book on my mac as it was hopelessly out of date, and everything on my bb was bang up to date.

i connect the bb up to the mac and hit sync.

the problem is, instead of being a 2 way sync like pocket mac does, it was a 1 way sync putting everything from the mac onto the bb. except there was nothing in the mac address book, so now my bb address book is completely empty.

is there any way of undoing this? i've searched for ages on google and have found nothing. called my phoner service provider, they said they couldn't help.

i'm screwed. my entire address book, gone. everything. someone please help me!

Yeah, sorry it's all gone. There is nothing you can do, unless, as midnight suggested, you have a backup.

This isn't the real Caesar's Palace, is it?
What do you mean?
Did um, did Caesar live here?
Um... no.
I didn't think so.

Do you have Time Machine installed on your Mac? Roll back to yesterday, or a time just before the ill-fated sync, and restore.

No actually that won't help for what the OP wants...the OP said his mac was out of data (hence he deleted it) and his BB was correct. The only way to bring it back is if you have a back-up of the BB. Surely you have a back-up of your BB....
