Default Some advice needed - 10-16-2009, 08:05 AM

Morning,
I was a blackberry user for quite some time and then switched to iPhone. I was not a heavy user by any stretch. I know have a dilemma. I am out of the office a lot and although I do like my iPhone, the battery life just sucks. I mean 2/3rd's of the way thru my day and I am drained as well as the phones responsiveness seems to slip a lot as the battery life gets low.
I am seriously considering switching back to BB.
Any recommendations on which BB to choose?
How is the DM for mac working?
I assume this will work with my .mac/imap account?

Thanks in advance
Ralph

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

DM for mac has been released I am not sure how well it works as I haven't a mac!
As far as model if you are with ATT the bold is very nice and soon the 9700 will be out

Review the posts or better yet SEARCH the Mac section. There is a fair amount of info on DM for Mac. Not much anti so it must be doing OK so far.

If you install DM correctly (after removing all other syncing software and cache) it seems to work fine...I was actually hoping verizon would start selling the iPhone....LOL

Yes, but all you will get is your inbox. If you have any other folders, they will not be accessible.

Well, I bought an 8900 and it is great, the Bold was a little big and I did not like the leather back. I will let you know how the battery life is one I put a weeks use on it. I downloaded the DM and synced, no problems. I will try again tomorrow and see if it works twice

Update:
The DM did not work twice. It seems to be a contacts issue. I can sync the calendar with ical but not my contacts. can only sync them 1 way (notebook to device).
My Macbook says "failed to sync, try again" or something like that. Multiple attempts with no success. The only app I have added is facebook. Any suggestions on what would cause this?
I also have had the device reboot on its own twice, no reason at all. Any thoughts?
I do like so much about the device, day 2 still on the original battery charge and at 50%.
Thanks
Ralph
