Default Desktop Manager - Multiple Devices?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I'm a new Blackberry user, just bought an 8330 Verizon phone from a friend and am having it flashed to my carrier (Cricket).

My girlfriend has the same phone I have (except it's the Sprint flavor), and she uses the Blackberry Desktop Manager software on our Mac (running OS 10.5.8) with no trouble.

I read that it's possible to manage multiple devices with that software, but when I plug the Blackberry into the Mac, nothing happens. No icon appears on the desktop, and the Desktop Manager doesn't recognize that a phone is plugged in.

On my Blackberry screen, a small "plug" icon appears next to the battery icon, but then disappears within a few seconds. From what I can tell, it doesn't look like the Mac knows anything is plugged in.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or how to make the computer recognize my phone?

Thanks in advance!

Try a hard reset. With the power on, remove the battery for 30-60 seconds. Do that and then try again.
