The BlackBerry Desktop Manager is unable to detect the BlackBerry smartphone
I have purchased the BOLD 9700 and have a MacBook Air. I have installed the Desktop Manager and have synced once the 9700 with Entourage 2008. That said now that I try to update my schedules and contacts the desktop dose not recognize the blackberry being attached even so I can see the 9700 icon on the screen and the content of the BB. Any advice how to address this problem?
First of all, what have you done so far in the way of trouble shooting?
Have you tried our SEARCH feature ? There are many questions about this so maybe that would be a good place to start?
Are you plugged into a USB port or a HUB? BBs do not like HUBs so plug into the USB on the laptop.
Are you using the cable that came with the BB?
ARe you using the Mac version of DM or are you using Bootcamp or similar on a Windows instance?
