Default Can I use my Blackberry bluetooth feature with my mac (not for sync)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have a 7290. I have a powerbook and pocketmac and it's working just fine.

But I have allot of cool features that are supposed to work with bluetooth that I can't get to work.

For example I could dial or send SMS messages from my laptop to my phone via bluetooth.

My computer sees my phone. it knows it's a phone it even says that I can start using the wireless features like the ones I mentionned above.

Is this normal? Or did I miss something somewhere.

In the bluetooth preferences it says that my phone is:

Device Name: BlackBerry 7290

Device Address: 00-0f-86-11-ff-d0
Device Type: Phone
Device Services: AUDIO Gateway, Voice Gateway

Paired: Yes
Configured: Yes
Favorite: Yes
Connected: No

You see at the end it says that it's not connected.

Does anyone have an answer?

Thanks

According to everything I've read, this won't work on several levels:

1) BT sync only works if you have handheld OS 4.1, which is not available (yet) for the 7290.

2) BT sync is only supported on Windows machines with certain BT adapters

3) Only BT sync is supported - not data transfer like SMS messaging

4) There are no BB drivers at all for the Mac yet.
