Default Help with Mac and Sync with 8700c - 06-06-2006, 11:36 AM

Hello All,
I am new to Blackberry as of last night. I came from a Palm 650 (hated it)...

How can I make this BB work on my mac ox x? I tried to download pocketmac as per RIM suggestion and it unzips and begins to install. I cannot get it to fully install.

I get this error:

I get an error that says "Items remaining to be installed 1099 searching MAC HD," then I get error that software can not be installed.

Any suggestions?

Regards

That's very interesting... I never downloaded the demo version. Just went straight to the full version.

I've had Pocketmac installed on 2 machines, w/o a single problem. Maybe try to re-download the software, and make completely sure that you have the rights to install the software. . . Repairing permissions might help as well, and can be accessed via disc utility. As the above poster said, the only difference between the demo and the full version is the S/N that you should have received from PocketMac, as the BB version is free for all BB owners. Oh, and make sure you download it from PocketMac directly. It's quite possible that Apple's page is directing you to an older version, in that there is only one now, and it's Universal Binary.

If you still can't get it to work, shoot me a message (my pin is in my sig) and I'll help you any way that I can.
