Default Cannot connect to computer in anyway - 10-15-2006, 11:12 PM

i just got a 8100 a few hours ago and was looking to upload my address book via bluetooth. i found my computer and the phone on each but nothing happens, i tried the device set up wizard but it cant find it now, and i dont know where the phone is located, basically nothing happens when i connect via bluetooth. im using a 10.4.8 powerbook

i tried downloading pocket mac but when i connect via usb half the time it doesnt know its connected it just charges, and when i use the program it gives me multiple errors the most common being

sync failed
[10:11:20.404] Unable to connect to BlackBerry (error 1); skipping.

if anyone at all could help it would be greatly appreciated

mine doesn't even find the device using bluetooth.. neither the computer nor the BB see each other.... so annoying. I didn't have this problem w/ my 7100i. Whats the point of having bluetooth if you can't even use it? Hopefully the folks at RIM are aware of this problem
