Default Appointment Start Times off one hour - 10-17-2006, 12:13 PM

Hi,
I've got an 8700c, Pocketmac 4.0 syncing with iCal in OS 10.4.8.

Since being on the road, my times are 1 hour later in my Blackberry calendar for the start of appointments.

I'm normally Pacific Time, but I changed both time zones in my Mac to reflect Eastern Time. Also, time zone support is NOT on in my iCal, I wanted the times in my calendars to be the same.

Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
Justin

Check time zones and daylight saving time selection (which is one hour) on both the Mac and BB.

Thanks Jeff, I just don't see where the daylight saving time selection is on the BB. Also, on the Mac, I'm set on "Set Date & Time Automatically", so there as well I see no option for daylight savings time adjustment.

Can you tell me what I'm missing?

Thanks again,
Justin

Go to Options, Date/Time, and change your Time Zone from there. Save your settings and your good to go.

Sorry, I guess I mis-typed my original post: my time zone on my Mac and BB have BOTH been changed. The BBB is now changed to Eastern (-5 GMT), and my Mac is set to New York, NY. So with that, I'm curious why the time offset is there.

??

Sorry for the Daylight Savings suggestions (I've obviously been working between my Mac, Windows Servers, and the BB too much).

PM 4.0 sync's times correctly for me to both iCal and Entourage. My appointments are also sync'd to my wife's iCal/Entourage/8100 via .mac. All appointments show correctly in iCal but many are omitted from Entourage. FYI - contact synching also has problems between 2 macs and 2 BBs but worked in the previous PM version with our 7100s.

If it helps, here are my app settings for comparison:

1) iCal-Preferences-Advanced Turn on time zone support - NOT CHECKED*
* was not checked by default
2) SystemPref-Date/Time Set Time automatically - time.apple.com
3) SystemPref-Date/Time TimeZone - CDT in my case
4) BB-Options-Date/Time TimeZone - Central in my case
5) BB-Options-Date/Time Date Time Source - Blackberry**
** you might try this rather than Network to see if it is causing the issue.
