Default Third Party Software Doesn't work! - 12-26-2006, 03:13 PM

Anytime I try to use any software that connects to the internet, RSS new feeders, AIM software or blogging software, it can't connect for some reason. I have no issue using the pre-installed browser...

Is this an issue cause I'm using a mac? I'm using PocketMac to install the software. Can anyone recommend a good site for downloading MAC software for the blackberry? Seems like most of the programs are .exe files.

Thanks in advance.

Blackberry Enterprise Server...did your employer provide you with the BB? I'm not a mac user so I don't know exactly what the mac can and cannot do. It may also just be an issue of the correct TCP setting. Search the forums for APN Settings or TCP Settings. You'll need the correct settings for your provider.

I'm not using the BB through my employer yet... I just got the BB and our office is closed through the holidays. I would imagine that I could connect to the internet with a third party software if I have a date plan.

No Data plan? No internet.

...and IF your employer has a BES you will need a data plan to connect to it.
