Default Boot Camp Help ?

Please Login to Remove!

Trying to install boot camp (reluctantly) but need xp to setup some bits on my Pearl!

Got boot camp, made the drivers disc all ok, now it goes to partition the space for XP and comes up with the error
Code:
Boot Camp cant partition your drive, unable to verify.. Use disk utility to repair
So, i used disk utility as requested, it didnt find any errors, boot camp still wont work.. I read apples help on site and it said to run Imac from CD and run disk utility from there, so i did that too.. Boot Camp STILL wont partition it still says it needs repairing? When i run a repair on it 7=8 times now?

Please help,My new pearl still not been used at all as need to sort a few bits out first with desktop software..

Unhappy Boot Camp help

Hi Lee:

Depending on the exact conditions you're seeing, you may need to back up/reformat/reinstall before Boot Camp Assistant will partition your drive. I covered this on the Apple support forums here:

Apple - Support - Discussions - PLEASE HELP: Apple "Boot Camp" ... at apple dot com slash support. Search the forums for "the magic repartitioning bit" and you'll find my post.

FYI, the current beta builds of Parallels support Blackberry sync, so that may be a good alternative for you.

Good luck!

Bro, go to MacNN | Apple, Macintosh and iPod news and find the alternative OS forum. All the help you need is there. Search first tho ;)
