Hi,

Can't wait till 2008 for iPhone too, so grab BB8100 to be smart too....

You can use the original usb cable connect to your Mac, and your BB will appear as a drive. Open up the folder and start copying your mp3, mid and whatever as if it's another hard disk.

Cheers!

uhhh....

That doesn't work for me. Do you need to have a media card to make it mount on the Desktop?

So far I've gotten my MacBook and Perl to Bluetooth pair and work as a modem, transfer photos and music, and sync with PocketMac! Hooray!

It'd be awesome if it mounted on the Desktop, too.

need to turn mass media storage on.....and it is best to have a micro SD card in your Pearl if you plan to have a number of media files on it....otherwise device memory is eaten up too fast.

turn Mass Storage on this way: Settings>Options>Advanced Options>Media Card....then make sure it says Mass Storage Mode Support is on, and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode when connected is set to Yes....you can change it to no anytime you just want to hook up to charge or sync....I only change it to yes when I want to transfer files...otherwise it stays on no.

it won't mount on the desktop.....it will be like an extra external drive (my lists as E: ).....can be found in My Computer

oh and the above method in my last post only works on PCs.....but I think PocketMac has a way to transfer files too....haven't tried it myself though.

E My Computer? Wait, wait, I'm using a Mac in OS X, not Parallels or anything.

um... it's the post right above that you make reference to the e: drive.

--

on mac os x the sd micro card (aka media card) will mount on your desktop. like any external drive, you need remember to unmount it (eg drag it to the trash) before you unplug it from the puter.

if you have problems shutting down your computer after connecting your pearl to it (i've found that to be common on 10.4.x with a media card inserted), you might want to put pcscd into conservative mode. you can find various instructions on how to do that by searching for "pcscd" in the mac users corner.

i recently found a decent pair of headphones for the pearl and am now using it as a music player (finally). i've already found several albums i have crash the phone's media player. i'm not sure why yet. :/
