Default Dot Mac Account and Blackberry - 02-13-2007, 01:47 PM

Hi.
I usually use Gmail with my 8703 and it works great. But I want to switch to my .mac account as my primary email. Unfortunately, I can't receive emails on the Blackberry using this account. I can send them, but I either don't receive emails at all or they are delayed for hours.

Any solutions?

Thanks.

Not sure why it's doing that. My .Mac mail works great with my 8100C. Sometimes the .Mac servers go down for scheduled maintenance, but if your email is always delayed then I'm unsure of a solution.

My .mac email to BB 8703 turn around time is about 5 minutes. Some days, it's better.

Yeah, mine used to take minutes from .mac to the blackberry, now I'm luck if I get an email within an hour of delivery.

My .Mac account has been very reliable. I receive emails about the same time as my site receives them. The one advantage over GMail is that its IMAP. Everything reconciles down to read and unread messages. GMail's push is way better than .Mac, but its does not fully reconcile.

Instead of pushing your Email just go to your .mac acccount click on
.Mac Mail - Preferences then foward your email to your blackberry account
address and you will get them faster less then a minute
hope this helps
