Default Odd time problem when syncing iCal with 8100

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I just got a Pearl and it has been syncing great with Pocketmac so far, except for one detail. If i set a reminder an hour ahead, when it syncs, it shifts the appointment by an hour on both the handheld and iCal. This, as you can imagine, doesn't work for me as it'll completely screw with my schedule. Right now I've alleviated the problem by not setting reminders, but does anyone know why this would be happening? I've installed the DST patch on both my Pearl and my Powerbook (10.4.9).

Hi! Typically, it means there is a difference between the Time Zone you have selected for your Mac, and the one you have selected for your handheld. To compare, right-click (or shift-click) on the time in the upper right corner of your Mac and then Open Date & Time. Click on the Time Zone menu, and see what the Time Zone setting is, and what closest city you have selected.

Now, in the Handheld, Choose Options and Date/Time. Make sure the same closest city is chosen.

If it's a perfect match, check that 2007 DST Patch option. If you open it on your Options list, it should report that it is applied.

If all those are set correctly, then the support team at PocketMac would want to take it further with you personally to see why that is happening with your data. The support team can be reached at
