Default Missing Sync iCal tasks - 04-01-2007, 11:12 PM

Hi everyone,

I'm having a small issue with the tasks portion of syncing via Missing Sync software. The due dates copy over incorrectly. For example, I have a task in iCal due April 7, 2007, and when I view it on the BlackBerry, the due date shows as March 30th, 2007.

Any thoughts?

Taks seem to be the hardest element of Blackberry syncing. I had similar problems with tasks. Specifically, the reminder dates would not sync correctly.

The problem with the task dates seems to be related to the fact that Blackbeery uses a time that the task is due and neither iCal or Entourage use that. The problem with the reminders is that iCal uses an audio reminder and BB does not. This iss ue was raised to Mark Space during beta testing and I understand that they are looking to correct this probem in a future release.

PocketMac has a similar issue with task reminders. For now, I am not syncing tasks between my Mac and my BB.

Hope this helps.

Dave,

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Otherwise the Missing Sync works wonders. Guess i'll just wait for an appropriate update.

NO KIDDING.
Trying to sync tasks pretty much locked up the app for me.
When I unchecked it and started over, no problems.

I would buy missing sync in a heartbeat if it COULD LET YOU LOAD PROGRAMS FROM YOUR DESKTOP!! Pocketmac HAS that feature, but it never works properly...maybe 5% of the time....

on a similar note, tasks from the BB when synced to Outlook 2007, get there times changed to 12:00Am - very frustrating!
