Default OBEX File Transfer via Bluetooth? - 04-07-2007, 11:32 AM

Is it possible? I'm running an Intel Duocore and when I try to send files, it tells me the 'device does not have the necessary services'. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I have seen that posted a few times now and I want to ask where are seeing this. And I think its definately the device thats holding back the bluetooth services not osx, my older razr does pretty well transferring pix and other data/contacts.. and if its up to the pocketmac team to handle bluetooth sync then i'm not holding my breath,.

Actually I re-searched this forum and found that you can transfer files via Bluetooth.

You have to go into the location you want (Media --> Pics, Ringtones, etc.) and then push your Menu button and scroll to "Receive Using Bluetooth". After doing that, then try to send the file and it will give you a prompt on the phone to accept the file. That's how it works on the 8100 anyway.

thanks boost, I'll give that a try. I've had luck doing that with other BB's, motos and other cell phones.
