Default Pocketmac 4.02 and calendar - 04-18-2007, 11:22 AM

I have been using the original PM4.0 for a few months with OK results, not perfect obviously. Everything sync'd ok, less calendar alarm times and task times but let's face it there is no field mapping capability yet.

The other week I saw RIM put out PM4.02 which would HAVE to be better than 4.0. Well now my calendar items do not sync at all.

1) Does anyone have any ideas of how to make 4.02 work?
or
2) How can I reinstall 4.0?

Check your settings in PM. I downloaded the new version and did not have a problem. But I did notice it reset some of my settings. If you want to re-install it, go into your Applications folder and find Pocketmac. Choose uninstall. Then goto either PM or RIM and re-download it. Don't forget to repair your permissions after you re-install. It may not be a bad idea to repair your permissions now if you have not done so.

What do you mean by repair the permissions? I have reinstalled but not uninstalled and then reinstalled. tried it with the same result. even used synclean and nothing. Any ideas to put version 4.0 on?

Thanks for the update. I will probably wait a while, nothing is wrong with my PM installation right now, don't want to upset the balance.

That is a smart move. I made the....assumption....that the new version would be better but there really isn't anything different about it.

To repair permissions go to your Applications folder, then Utilites, then Disk Utility. Launch Disk Utility and highlight your hard drive. You will then see repair permissions. Click on that and let the mac do it's thing.
