Default BB7290 - How To - Remove all personal information.

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, here is the scoop. I obviously have a mac and I use PocketMac to sync my blackberry 7290 and my computer. My blackberry is running v.3.8.0.20. I have sold it but I have a lot of personal information on here that I need to clear (for good) so that I can ship it to the buyer. I can't find anywhere that tells me how to restore this thing to the factory settings and remove personal info. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Ok I finally found something on blackberryFAQ that said that I should set a password and then enter the wrong password ten times. Is this right? The reason I am unsure is because I read another thread posted by a BB tech guy with T-Mobile that said this often causes the BB to lock up and then you are screwed. Thoughts?

JSanders, thanks for the reply but I don't have a "general" tab under the "security" tab. Must be for different model or different OS. I don't know.

In case I wasn't clear. For anyone who has the same setup that I do, I was able to wipe my BB clear by going to "options" then "security" then "content protection" then "wipe." Hope this helps.
