Default 8830, Verizon, Email and Macbook Pro..

Please Login to Remove!

Hello I am new to BB's and the 8830 is my 1st BB. My problem is I can not recieve email to my BB. I can send email (atleast it seems like I can) but I can only recieve email when I "send books" and even then it doesnt seem to work. I registered my emal through the set up wizard and it still doesnt work.

Maybe Im crazy and it just takes longer than I thought it would but it seems that every time Im expecting an email I dont get it and when I go on my computer and login I have emails.

Any help would be great. Is it verizon or have I set up something differently. I have tried deleting the account and setting it up again and that works for a few emails but after that it doesnt work...

Help Please!!!

i had the same problem the first 72 hours i had my 8830... i had to resend service books 3 times and then suddenly all my emails started coming through... faster than they reached my yahoo account. ever since then i've had no problems with it.

You didn't mention who your email provider is. Are you using an email service which supports push email (such as Gmail or Yahoo! mail)?

Have you created a blackberry.net email, and do those come through immediately?

P.S.: Whatever the issue is, it has nothing to do with the fact that you use a Mac.

Did you try VZW tech support? They set up my gmail account for me and it rocks. 1st tier support has been very helpful and 2nd tier rocks. I've been very impressed. Too bad Verizon's services are not as good as their support staff.
