Default Reliable OTA sync from iCal to blackberry? - 09-10-2007, 05:54 PM

Hi,
At present I use a Mac with iCal, I love iCal and I love my Mac.
I use Groupcal to sync my iCal data with Exchange 2003 and BES.
Sometimes this works but very often things get *really* messy.
The main problem is duplicates, lots and lots of them!

I have a fairly big calendar which goes back several years, its pretty messy
now, I have lost count of how many times I have had to clean it up.

What do you use to sync iCal to your blackberry over the air, ie without
wires and in almost real time?
Does it work?

Many thanks

D

Let me know when you find this..

I know this doesn't help but I don't think what you are looking for is out there right now..

Who's that peekin' in my window?...POW....nobody now.

I think you are right.
At the moment I have put iCal to one side and am running XP in VMware fusion and using that for Outlook 2003. It's not what I want but I really do need reliable OTA calendar sync from my Mac, somehow!

I've tried Entourage in the past and this is simply junk! Or at least thats my opinion. Perhaps when Office 2008 is releaase for Mac it will be better, lets hope so.

Mike
p.s. The 'unity' feature in vmware fusion is cool, it allows you to detach a window from the XP guest os and run it as its own window in OSX. Nice.

I sync my iCal to my Pearl and 8800 with Missing Sync and it works flawlessly.

I'm BACK with my Curve 8310.

Try this software: http://www.snerdware.com/

Haven't used it for a prolonged period but they have a trial period and claim to do what you want to do.

But not OTA. The post is asking about wireless syncing of iCal.

Thanks but thats the software I am using at present, or rather was until I am now running XP in VMware on my Mac, and Outlook 2007, which so far is fairly nice!

I installed the Plaxo client from Plaxo on my work computer which is hooked up through BES to my BlackBerry. I also installed it on my Mac at home. Now when I make a calendar entry at home, at work or on the BlackBerry it automagically syncs between all three devices. It's great! It also does my address book too AND IT'S FREE!

I agree . . . it works pretty well. I am using Vista rather than XP simply because there was an unused copy in the office. I would prefer XP, but would have had to buy a copy.
