This is actually what I've experienced and found from other posts. However, I haven't gotten to try an 8Gb in any 4.3 device yet.

Dam.....I thought the 6GB was cool but to find out that my phone will do 8GB . well DAM!

Do it just work with the 8gb card or can it really access the 8gb. I have a friend who tried one but it only could "see" 4gb and not 8gb.

How about a screen shot of your device screen showing it is "seeing" 8gb

Don't know but all 4.2.2 devices support 4Gb cards. 4.3 devices support up to 8Gb cards.

I guess I'll just shop around for a 4GB card *shrugs*

just media...apps need to be installed on the phone...

I took the plunge and got the 8GB MicroSDHC card for the 8130 and it works great! I haven't had any problems at all.

Yup...I have the 8GB in my 8130 and works great...tons of music on it.

The 8Gb in the 8830 with 4.2.2 OS is Not Supported.

i have 4.3 downloaded,, how do i d/l it in to the phonne.

There are two pieces of software; Desktop Manager and the Handheld OS. Handheld OS 4.3 for the 8830 is not out yet. That's what is required for the 8GB microSD card. You have downloaded Desktop Manager 4.3.

I have been using the 4GB card in my ALLTEL 8830 for months with no problems.

Just popped a 4GB card into my 8310 and all is well. Missing Sync is cramming music on the card as I type this.

If it can be done, how can I install 4.3.0 on the 8100? Thanks.
