Question Roxio Media Photo Import Capbility

Please Login to Remove!

I have installed Roxio Media Manager (Build 940B07N ENU). The download was Desktop_Software_v4.3 (English).

I have a few hundered jpgs stored on a notebook in My Pictures, and over 2000 on a server and archieved on DVDs. It would be nice if I could gather the ones I want to use in a project from each storage place and not have to make copies in My Pictures.

In Roxio Help Center, under Importing photos it says you can use Media Import to import photos from removable disk drives. I have a 300GB external hard drive connected to my noteook through USB cable. Is there anyway I can import jpg files to Roxio from it?

I also have an external DVD drive that I connect through a USB cable. If I make DVDs with a menu and sub folders that have JPG files in them will I be able to import these jpgs?

When in the office I connect to a server through a LAN, else I VPN into the sever. Is it posible to import a file to Roxio Media from the server?

I don't understand how Roxio works. What happens when I tell it to import? Does it physically make a copy or does it create a link to where the file is stored? When I create a project with Roxio does it extract files and store them in the project folder?
