Default How do I transfer songs off from one SD card to another? - 11-28-2007, 11:58 PM

On my 8320, I originally bought a 1gb but just recently I bought a 4GB. Can anyone tell me how I can transfer my media from my 1GB to my 4GB. Thanks!

Make sure you have 'Mass Storage Mode Support' turned On (should be by default). You can find it under 'Options' -> 'Media Card'. Connect the BB to your PC via USB (you should be able to view the contents of the microSD card in folder view) and copy the contents of the Music folder to your PC. Disconnect your BB and put the new card in the BB, connect to PC, then transfer the Music directory to the new card.

Old SD card in the BB, copy it all to a folder on your PC.

Remove SD card and insert new SD card in BB, copy it back to the new SD card in the BB.

Done!

Thanks guys, although it took awhile, it worked. I'm really still a Newbee when it comes to my BB so I was wondering if there is something I have to do to expand the memory for my BB. When I had my 1 GB i was only able to hold less than 300 songs, was there something I'm supposed to do? I'm guessing I have to format it in some way or fashion.
