Default Movie ripping/unlocking itunes - 12-07-2007, 02:09 PM

Hey guys,
I have 2 questions, does anyone know of a good, free program that rips dvds to avi files on your computer? I don't mind paying $40 bucks for one that works but all the trial ones I found were garbage so I'd just rather have a free one.

Also, does anyone know how to unlock the songs that you buy from itunes? It sucks that like half my music is from there and I can't transfer.

Thanks

I did a quick search in this Media Section on "drm" and found this:
DRM converter software. Converts iTunes, Napster, etc files - legally

One easy way to 'unlock' your iTunes purchased songs is to burn them to CD then rip them back to your PC in mp3 format at high bit rate. The mp3 versions are now unlocked!
